All2gethernow has curated two sessions for this year´s re:publica conference in Berlin. Both sessions will take place on Tuesday May 7th, 2013 and focus on the topic of music recommendation:
In “From Peel to Peer” Christian Tjaben and Oke Göttlich elaborate, why music recommendation is an essential part of the music business and that it could be time to envision a more emotional, i.e. relationship based approach to recommendations.
Our second panel “Music Recommendation – Future Casting” is investigating technological ways to escape the “filter bubble”, since experts say inadequate recommendations are the biggest hurdle facing commercial success of streaming services. Guests on our panel will be cultural computing researcher Dr. Stephan Baumann, Soundcloud engineer Amélie Anglade and Spotify´s label relations manager Marie Heimer.
Following the second session, the a2n_soundsystem aka Andrea Goetzke and Eric Eitel will be playing their favorite #rp13 tunes at the re:fill bar.
Detailed session descriptions, times and locations can be found here.
PLEASE NOTE: to attend the sessions, a #rp13-ticket is required. The re:fill bar is admission free!
